Honouring our Sacred Sites

Lightfooters was created for honouring the sacred sites and ancestral heritage of the United Kingdom. The primary aims are to maintain the sanctuary and dignity of our sacred sites and to promote peaceful connection, ritual and worship at these sites. Over the last year a number of publicity stunts have been performed by sectors of the media, defaming and dishonouring some of our sacred chalk figures. It is now time to take a stand against this profanity, least we turn our sacred heritage sites into cheap spectacles and perhaps loose them forever.

It is hoped by the formation of Lightfooters, that we can speak up on behalf of our sacred sites and foster respect and understanding from society at large. In an age where Live Earth focused our attention on global warming, perhaps we should also focus our attention to the plight of our sacred sites and the sacred nature temples of the Earth herself. |
